Jonathan Edwards, who lives in Wantage and is currently working at Diamond Light Source in Harwell, scored the top mark of 73% in his P paper on Business Analysis – a post-graduate level course which, together with three years’ relevant practical experience, leads to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. The average global pass rate for this paper is 49%.

Stephane Onillon, who lives in Enstone and works at Carter Jonas in Oxford achieved 83% in his F paper on Taxation – a degree level exam which precedes the P papers leading to the ACCA qualification. The average global pass rate on this paper is 52%.

Kate Allen, Managing Director at Allen Associates, said: “We were extremely pleased to present Jonathan and Stephane with cash prizes to recognise the significance of their achievements which were the result of long hours of study fitted in and around their busy day jobs. Employers are crying out for quality finance staff at all levels and we are delighted to do our bit to highlight the work and achievements of the students and tutors at Vale Financial Training.”

Liz Hulls, Director at Vale Financial Training, which is the only ACCA Platinum accredited training provider in Oxfordshire, added: “We are very proud of Jonathan and Stephane’s exam results as well as the achievements of all our other students which are well above the average global pass rates. As a tutor, it is hugely rewarding to join our students on their journey and watch their careers flourish. We have numerous courses to choose from, which means we can offer formal qualifications to those at different stages of their career and working in a range of finance roles as well as those interested in accountancy as a profession.”

Allen Associates will be presenting prizes again later in the year to the students who achieve the highest marks in their F and P papers in June. Allen Associates has strong links with Oxfordshire’s finance communities through their work in recruiting quality candidates for finance roles at all levels within the private and public sectors.
