Our client is seeking an experienced Executive level finance leader to join them in the capacity of Finance and IT Director. Alongside leading a finance function to embed bet practice analysis, reporting and compliance, you will also be responsible for the overall control of all IT aspects of my client’s strategy. You will also be an integral part of the Executive team, managing and leading the procurement function and acting as the Data Protection Officer and Senior Information Risk Owner.

Your key accountabilities in this role would include:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of my client’s strategic aims through a robust financial strategy including financial analysis, reporting, insight and compliance.
  • Company-wide budget management and financial forecasting
  • Management and communication of overhead costs and capital expenditure in line with agreed corporate plans
  • Achievement of financial controls
  • Leading the financial review of new initiatives
  • Being responsible for the development and implementation of my client’s IT strategy and leading an IT function that would include robustness in cyber security and electronic document management, amongst other issues.
  • Development of a comprehensive investment strategy enabling my client to deliver new services
  • Overall responsibility for the Procurement team (buy and sell) including purchasing, tendering, compliance and a joined-up procurement strategy

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role you will be familiar with working at an Executive level and contributing to overall strategic aims and objectives, ideally for a multi-site organisation. As a qualified and active member of an accountancy body, you will have had experience of leading a comparably sized finance function managing financial control, planning and analysis as well as providing insight and best practice to influence wider company strategy. Alongside this, you will have led a IT function or have exposure to changing IT infrastructure with a finance function.

You will be highly commercially astute, have experience of managing various stakeholders and being accountable at a senior level. Resilience and critical decision making will be key as my client goes through a period of exciting change. You will work in a collaborative and mature manner at all times in this highly visible and senior role.

Due to the nature of the role you must be able to drive to different regions with the possibility of overnight stays.
