We have registered a fantastic opportunity for a successful candidate to take on this significant role of Events Administrator, within a scientific setting. It is an exciting opportunity to work with a group of specialists with a diverse range of expertise, all dedicated to supporting researchers from different industries.
Working in an interesting and forward thinking setting, you will be required to provide administrative support to the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rapidly changing environment. This role is to start ASAP and ongoing for 3 months
Key responsibilities will include:
Scheduling travel arrangements.
Planning and coordinating assigned events and conferences to ensure their successful delivery, including risk assessments, registration and payments, catering/accommodation/transport booking, front house support and reporting.
Working with the CRM system to run queries and reports regarding conference registrations, payments and accommodation and travel requirements.
Maintaining and monitoring all records and logs ensuring that activities undertaken are appropriately captured, reported and up to date.
Attending and minute meetings for events and conferences or other meetings as required.
Organising the User Working Group meetings, assisting principal beamline scientists with the scheduling and organisation of meetings, liaising with UWG members to organise their travel, accommodation, catering for the meetings, etc.
Providing cover for other science administrative personnel as required.
Supporting a diverse of seminars, inviting prominent speakers, and arranging travel, accommodation and monitoring expense claims.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven ability to work on your own initiative and take personal responsibility for delivery of work with excellent attention to detail.
You will be willing to interact effectively and build relationships with staff at all levels in the organisation. With strong IT skills, including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel), you will be required to demonstrate significant practical experience working within an administrative field, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The ability to multitask and work under pressure whilst consistently organising and coordinating events, workshops and booking travel arrangements.
