We have just registered a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dedicated PA to work on a long term temporary basis in an academic setting. In addition to delivering high quality administrative personal support to a senior manager and running their incredibly busy office, the post holder will also offer occasional administrative support to other members of staff. The workload will be substantial and varied.
Duties will include:
Extensive and complex diary management;
Responding to correspondence in a timely and professional manner;
Meeting management and coordination, including preparation and dissemination of agendas, papers and minutes;
Acting as the first point of contact for the office;
Document and record management; and
Essential office coordination and administrative duties
You will be a highly motivated and pro-active individual with extensive PA and administrative experience. Your naturally organised and calm approach will prove key in managing complicated diary arrangements.
Excellent written and oral communication skills will be essential as you manage the flow of information within the department. Your exemplary interpersonal skills will allow you to liaise seamlessly with tact and diplomacy with members of staff at all levels.
High proficiency in the use of IT is crucial – with advanced skills required in use of Microsoft Office and an ability and willingness to learn new systems. Experience of updating websites using content web authoring applications is highly desirable.
Please note, due to the central location there is NO parking on site, although they are very close to the main public transport routes.
