It’s great discovering how much we’ve managed to achieve, for not only ourselves, but for our clients, and we’re looking forward to doing it all over again in 2018.
Our aim every year is to successfully connect the right people with the right businesses, and next year, we would have been doing this for two decades! We’ve been lucky enough to be the only recruitment agency in Oxfordshire to achieve Investors in People Gold (IiP) (twice) - a true reflection of the dedicated and ongoing commitment the team has in ensuring we deliver the very best by our clients and candidates. They are a fantastic team, who work exceptionally hard.
We were also lucky enough to be shortlisted as a finalist for the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP), for the ‘Best Company to Work for’ category, this was simply excellent! And even though we didn’t win, to be recognised among the best Recruitment Agencies in the UK was such a fantastic achievement for us all.
Monitoring business growth as the year comes to an end, we’ve managed to grow our Temporary Division by 20% up from 2016, and had a significant and steady growth on all Permanent Division for our clients. We intend to continue this trend going into 2018. Within networking, we’ve also increased in followers on LinkedIn – we now have nearly 6,000, and our audience is still growing.
This year, we’ve implemented a comprehensive and ambitious social media engagement and content strategy, with the help of our friends at Clearly PR, who have continued to bring us great coverage and excellent PR support. We’ve also launched our brand-new website this year, which has really made a difference to our company branding, and also really separates us from the crowd, and our competitors.
Our biggest achievement of the year however, was working with our co-sponsor, The Oxford Mail. Together we managed to help raise a massive £126,000 in support of the Oxford Children's Hospital, something that’s really close to all of our hearts at Allen Associates.
With 2018 being our 20th birthday, we have some exciting things planned for the year ahead.
It goes without saying that we’ll be sticking to our current exceptional differentiators – service, staff, reputation, integrity, knowledge and realism. But we also aim to continue to be the number one supplier of recruitment services in HR, Marketing, PA, Finance and Temporary staff to progressive Clients in Oxfordshire.
In 2018 we will continue to invest in state of the art technology, and will be leaders in the field of recruitment in this area, after all, technology speaks for itself, and we pride ourselves on being at the top of our game.
We have a proven track record and will continue to do so in intelligently and thoughtfully matching candidates to Permanent and Temporary roles across all levels within the disciplines highlighted above. We didn’t become one of Oxfordshire’s leading independent recruitment consultancies by following the herd, we did it by upholding and living the values we set for ourselves when the business started, and will continue to do so going into 2018.
