We have recently registered a fantastic opportunity for a Grants Assistant to join an organisation based in Headington. As the Grants Assistant, you will be responsible for managing this organisation research grants from application to award and then close-down.
Grants Assistant Responsibilities
As the Research Grants Portfolio Assistant some of your duties will include:
- Supporting researchers with applications
- Setting up successful awards
- Checking overseas financial accounts
- Reviewing project expenditure
- Producing annotated financial reports
- Reporting spend to sponsors
Grants Assistant Experience
The Grants Assistant will be a detail orientated, highly organised individual with previous experience in a similar role; likely involving financial administration. This varied role will require you to be able to manage a wide-ranging workload effectively under pressure. In order to be successful in this role you will have strong numeracy skills and be able to work to tight deadlines. Experience using Oracle or in a grant focused role would be beneficial, but not a necessity.
