Learning and Development Manager (Expired)

Learning and Development Manager We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development manager to build a new L&D function and work in alignment with the business to make a positive impact and affect change within this professional services consultancy globally. This role would take ownership of the full training life cycle from design to delivery. It will focus on developing and providing a service that meets the current and future needs of the business, to ensure targeted and blended learning solutions are delivered that are engaging and impactful. The solutions must be commercial, evaluated and meet the needs of the business with a focus on application and delivery. The L&D Manager will seek out opportunities to align their development offer globally and to create efficiencies and, where appropriate, consistency. This role would suit an experienced L&D professional with an existing 'toolkit' of ideas and successes to bring to the role for a fast-start! The ideal person will be a self-starter, curious about solving problems and have excellent attention to detail. This is a varied role, with lots of stakeholder management as the 'go to' person for all learning and development activity and would be great for somebody who enjoys a mix of hands-on operational as well as strategic and transformation work. This is a new position and a new function within this mostly academic population organisation and so the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate clear evidence of setting up L&D functions within a similar academically focused business or consultancy, setting up development programmes and inductions for example and getting senior management buy-in. The ideal person must come from in-house role as opposed to freelance or consultancy background, where they have experience of setting up L&D within an SME.
