What you will do as the Temporary HR Advisor:

The role is varied and will include but is not limited to:

  • Providing HR advice and assistance on employment policies, procedures and legislations
  • Writing and reviewing policies and procedures
  • Dealing with confidential matters in a sensitive manner and in accordance with policy and best practice
  • Compiling and presenting information to clients on a range of HR related topics
  • Maintaining records and implementing an HRIS and its ongoing management 
  • General HR administration including employment contracts and ensuring all new starter and leaver documents are maintained 
  • Pro-active monitoring of HR trackers including probationary reviews / Immigration 
  • Assisting clients with payroll information
  • Providing advice to line managers and employees on issues related to ER, grievances, employee health and performance management
  • Day-to-day general correspondence and recommendations for clients

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across our organisations
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Sound written and report writing skills
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Able to research projects and deliver them
  • Sound knowledge of employment law
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Generalist HR knowledge and experience to enable you to deliver the requirements of the role

Location

This role is based in Abingdon (OX13). Parking is available on site. However, this is a hybrid setting opportunity.

The Company

The HR team is relatively new to the company as the Strategic HRBP has been building the department from the switch to no longer outsourcing the HR function. Due to this, there are a lot of exciting projects to be getting involved with from policies, wellbeing, culture and learning and development. Along with the day-to-day HR responsibilities of assisting Line Managers and Employee Relations.
