Life Sciences Sales Manager Our client is looking to recruit a Sales Manager from a Life Science field to fill a new vacancy which will report into the Board and work with the General Manager and Head of Marketing. The candidate needs to have a proven track record of high performance in a Sales function, delivering commercial success in a life science based B2B environment - and experience within the antibodies/proteins sector would be highly advantageous. You must be able to manage and grow our client's busy and talented sales team. You will take responsibility for defining and implementing the sales strategy, KPIs and dashboard, reviewing key accounts and segmentation as well as overseeing day-to-day sales activities for the business. You will be responsible for the management of the integrated and flexible Sales team focussed on developing market penetration across the UK. The position will lead, manage and motivate the commercial teams and take direct responsibility for the development of new sales product areas, identifying new commercial customers, qualifying and developing leads and working collaboratively with service providers. Previous line management experience is critical.

Life Sciences Sales Manager

Our client is looking to recruit a Sales Manager from a Life Science field to fill a new vacancy which will report into the Board and work with the General Manager and Head of Marketing. The candidate needs to have a proven track record of high performance in a Sales function, delivering commercial success in a life science based B2B environment – and experience within the antibodies/proteins sector would be highly advantageous.

You must be able to manage and grow our client’s busy and talented sales team. You will take responsibility for defining and implementing the sales strategy, KPIs and dashboard, reviewing key accounts and segmentation as well as overseeing day-to-day sales activities for the business.

Life Sciences Sales Manager Responsibilities

As the Sales Manager some of your duties will include:

  • You will manage the sales team, grow sales, and develop key accounts
  • You will motivate teams to achieve KPIs and targets
  • You will take responsibility for development for new product areas and identifying new customer areas
  • You will manage portals, systems, and reporting
  • You will forecast sales, budget, and form sales plans
  • You will lead on proactive sales initiatives and events
  • You will work closely with and ultimately manage the customer service teams

Life Sciences Sales Manager Experience

 

 

To be successful in this role, you must show a high level of scientific literacy and numeracy, with a close attention to detail.

Previous working experience at a senior sales level selling novel biotech services would be highly advantageous, but experience selling within Life Sciences is absolutely essential.

A bachelor’s degree qualification in Life Sciences or a management qualification is preferred.

Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines with strong planning and negotiation skills.

Location
