Temporary Receptionist/Administrator

Are you a well presented and confident communicator who enjoys working in a customer facing role? If so, we have a fantastic temporary opportunity based in Oxford. Working in this lovely organisation, you will support the team initially in an administrative and receptionist capacity. However, there is scope for the role to grow, for the right candidate, to include HR and Marketing functions. Please note this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. The role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered. Please note although there is no genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for this post to be held by a Christian however you will need to be sensitive with the client's statement of faith and comfortable working in this environment.

Temporary Receptionist/Administrator Responsibilities

  • Handling telephone queries
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Preparing and processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintaining and ordering office supplies
  • Assisting with digitisation of resources, ensuring accurate filing
  • Front of house service, including meeting and greeting visitors; answering phones; keyholder duties; venue and meeting-room preparation and ensuring the building and rooms are clean and tidy
  • Updating the company calendar
  • Maintaining filing systems
  • All administrative support across various projects

Temporary Receptionist/Administrator Experience Essentials

You will ideally have some experience reception or administration experience and feel comfortable making and receiving calls, taking messages, and greeting the occasional guest. Alongside this, you must be proficient using MS Office and able to multitask effectively.

Any experience in HR or Events will be beneficial but is not essential.

Location

Our client is located in Oxford (OX1).  Unfortunately, there is no parking available on-site, although the office is accessible via public transport.
