Finance Manager

Our client has created a new role for an experienced Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller with the finance strategy and overseeing the line management of staff. You will be happy to suggest improvements, roll out new processes and provide support for the sales and purchase ledger function, within a demanding and busy environment.

Finance Manager Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Line management of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger staff
  • Project Manage the development, implementation of the Purchase Order and Invoice Approvals and other financial system improvements
  • Manage and deal with the PAYE settlement and deal with other VAT and taxation queries working with auditors and advisors
  • Review of the bi-weekly payment runs, imports and general ledger journals
  • Produce a monthly summary of all cash balances for submission to Finance and Estates Committee
  • Report and advise on the investment of surplus cash balances
  • Producing monthly operating and investment cashflow forecasts
  • Provide insight and reporting on expenditure patterns and cost saving opportunities

Finance Manager Essentials

You will be a CIMA or ACCA qualified with at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role. You will have excellent communication and management skills, the ability to work under pressure, and strong analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of charity accounting or taxation, or recent experience working within the public sector.

Location

This is a hybrid working role, with ideally 4 days on site in Central Oxford. No parking is available onsite, but there are excellent transport links.
