Temporary Accountant

Are you a qualified Accountant with proven management accounts experience? Have you used Sage 200 in an academic setting?

Can you hit the ground running and are you comfortable working with manual as well as electronic systems?

If so, this exceptionally rare opportunity working with one of our most prestigious Clients could be the ideal temporary opportunity for you!

Starting as soon as possible, the role will be ongoing until mid-January 2025.  You will be working a 35-hour week – Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Please note, this is a full-time temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis.

Please only apply for this role if you are available at short notice and can work full-time in Oxford City Centre, with no parking needed.

Temporary Accountant Responsibilities

• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Completing reviews of Accounts Receivable processes and charges
• Processing donations and corresponding reporting
• Monthly credit control
• Monthly analysis of credit card transactions; monitoring and reporting spend
• Monthly reconciliations of nominal ledger control accounts
• Reviewing and sending out monthly project reports
• Processing month end journals as required
• Maintaining medical insurance records
• Assisting with inputting and reporting of all subsidiaries
• Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of schedules for the year end statutory audit

Temporary Accountant Requirements

• Qualified or part qualified Accountant
• Ability to hit the ground running, with minimal training
• Sage 200 experience
• Previous finance experience gained within an academic institution, ideally associated with the University of Oxford
• Excellent team worker
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable working in an environment going through change
