If you’re an experienced Senior HR Advisor looking for a step up into an HR Manager opportunity to work in a business where culture is at the heart of everything, then this one is for you.

HR Manager Responsibilities:

As the HR Manager you will be responsible for;

  • Reviewing and improving existing policies and procedures
  • Developing and implementing new HR initiatives
  • Managing the recruitment, selection and onboarding process
  • Developing the people strategy alongside the business objectives
  • Ensuring compliance and providing insight and data for performance management
  • Working with marketing on internal communications
  • Providing full HR and ER guidance and support across the business in a standalone role

HR Manager Experience

If you are ambitious and hungry to succeed as well as keen to make your mark and grow as the business grows, this is a great opportunity for you. You will help set the HR function and work with the people and the business on an operational and strategic level. As the sole HR person in the business, you will play an integral role in taking the HR function by the scruff of its neck and run with it! You will get into the detail, review, and improve existing policies and processes and develop new initiatives, listening to the business and acting as a reflection of their culture.

This role could suit an experienced and senior level HR Advisor looking to step up into an HR Manager role or an existing HR Manager who is looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with the business as it grows. You will be a generalist HR professional, knowledgeable across the full HR remit from ER to recruitment and internal communications. This is a transactional as well as strategic role and so you must be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get on with the day-to-day transactional HR work alongside the more business partner focused work.  

This role is for someone ready for the next step up in their career within a start up, small UK business, ready to get their hands dirty and make a difference. Previous experience of working within a start-up or SME is desirable.

The Company

Our client is fast-growing and hugely successful in their sector. They are in their third year of business with 70 employees. They are forward-thinkers and founders within the energy industry.

HR Manager Location

Our client is based in Bicester. Bicester Village is just a short, 5-minute walk from the office and there is on-site parking.

This is largely an office-based role, however there will be some flexibility for 1-2 days a week remote working after settling in stage.
