We have registered an exciting opportunity for you to join as the newest Temporary HR Manager for approximately 2 months, starting immediately. The role is being recruited for permanently and should you be interested and be successful in the role you will be given the opportunity to apply!

This is a standalone position so you must be comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You will be managing the whole HR life cycle from recruitment, training, and compliance to any HR emergencies such as employee relations and wellbeing.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This full-time role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary HR Manager Responsibilities

  • Dealing with the end-to-end recruitment process including managing applications and interviews
  • Researching ways to attract candidates
  • Providing employment law advice
  • Preparing and issuing contracts, onboarding, and induction
  • Being the first point of contact for support and advice for all HR matters including capability, disciplinary, grievances, redundancy, and absence management
  • Managing all employee memberships and wellbeing strategies
  • Ensuring all compliance processes are in line with legislation.
  • Training and mentoring all Managers and SLT in line with HR issues

Temporary HR Manager Experience

  • You will be an experienced HR professional able to hit the ground running
  • Experience in an academic environment will be extremely beneficial but not essential
  • CIPD Level 5 or above is desirable but not essential
  • You’ll have high levels of organisation, be able to juggle tasks efficiently and work calm under pressure.
  • As HR Manager, you will be a highly approachable, friendly, and supportive person, who offers an open and honest work ethic.

Our client is based in Oxford (OX3) and there is ample parking available onsite as well as excellent public transport links.
