In this truly unique opportunity, as our client's latest Temporary HR Business Partner, you will be providing essential support across your designated department with a significant emphasis on case management and complex employee relations. You will also provide support on organisational change, recruitment and selection procedures, equal opportunities, induction, development, grading and remuneration, and general issues relating to employment law.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This full-time role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

In this truly unique opportunity, as our client’s latest Temporary HR Business Partner, you will be providing essential support across your designated department with a significant emphasis on case management and complex employee relations. You will also provide support on organisational change, recruitment and selection procedures, equal opportunities, induction, development, grading and remuneration, and general issues relating to employment law.

Temporary HR Business Partner Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the HR Team Leader on the management of complex or high-risk cases, up to and including employment tribunals
  • To deliver high-level, non-routine operational advice and assistance to employing departments across the full range of HR issues, including discipline, grievance, organisational change, TUPE, grading, and local interactions with staff representatives, as well as advice on the interpretation of personnel policy on matters such as recruitment, equal opportunities, retirement, and voluntary severance
  • To work with divisions and departments as a business partner; to understand their business objectives and to provide HR support and advice as necessary to achieve those objectives, and manage any associated risks
  • To assist in the development and review of operational personnel policies and procedures as required
  • To contribute to regular training and briefing sessions for HR managers and departmental administrators tailored to each division’s requirements

Temporary HR Business Partner Experience

  • Wide experience of advising line managers on the full range of staffing issues in a complex organisation (ideally within a unionised environment)
  • Excellent sound judgement in HR matters with a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and good practice
  • Able to develop effective and constructive working relationships at all levels of the company and to influence events, particularly at the senior management level
  • Analytical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving ability equivalent to those derived from holding a good honours degree, membership of the CIPD, and wide professional experience
  • The ability to communicate concisely, effectively and persuasively in writing as well as orally

Location

Our client is based in Oxford City Centre (OX1). There is no onsite parking, so ideally you would reach the office via other means.
