Senior HR Advisor - 12-Month FTC

You will be involved in all areas of HR in this generalist role, supporting the non-academic staff in this Oxford College and reporting to the Bursar, as the ‘go to’ HR person.

Senior HR Advisor Responsibilities

Some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Advise managers on all HR and ER issues
  • Monitor and manage absence and oversee and assist the performance management process
  • Manage recruitment
  • Manage payroll input and ensure payroll deadlines are met
  • Manage staff disciplinary matters
  • Review and maintain HR manual and policies
  • Project work to improve the HR function

Senior HR Advisor Experience

To be suitable for this position, you will be a professional, confident and reliable individual with proven and extensive hands-on generalist HR experience. You will be able to hit the ground running and take responsibility for day-to-day operations within the HR function, providing efficient and timely HR advice and support to the large and diverse non-academic team. You must be able to work independently and have the confidence and credibility to guide and support colleagues in an operational and strategic manner. You must be self-motivated and knowledgeable across the full employee lifecycle from managing ER cases and ill health capabilities, performance management to coaching managers and managing payroll administration. For this reason, you will either be CIPD qualified or qualified by experience with demonstrable and proven success as an HR Advisor in previous roles.

Previous experience of using CintraiQ would be an advantage. Experience of working with payroll would be highly desirable.

Location

Set in beautiful grounds in North Oxford, surrounded by an eclectic range of restaurants, bars and shops. This role requires a minimum of 3 days on-site. Please ensure you are able to commute into Oxford when applying for this role.

37.5 Hours per week.  Some flexible/ hybrid working available.

This role could be part-time but with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Full-time is preferred.This is a 12-Month FTC to start ASAP
