We have a very exciting opportunity to join one of the most well-established companies in Oxfordshire. This is an exciting position which will work with senior members of the Development Office to support a strategic focus for high quality and high-profile events which are an integral part of future plans.

This role is being recruited on an initial 6-month FTC basis.

Events Manager Responsibilities

The Events Manager will be responsible for:

  • Planning, developing, and delivering high quality events. Be a key coordinator with event planning across the Development Office
  • Liaise with key suppliers, hosts, caterers, sponsors, and staff
  • Event management and budget management
  • Maintain knowledge of all regulatory frameworks

Events Manager Requirements

This position would be suitable for someone who has at least 3-5 years’ experience within fast paced event management and ideally within the higher education sector. Whilst specific event management qualifications are not essential, it would be advantageous to be educated to degree level or higher. Experience of corporate, social, and digital event management would be essential, alongside proven budget management knowledge. This busy, exciting role would suit a passionate, proactive and forward-thinking candidate who is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, whilst remaining calm and professional at all times. Additionally, a positive and hands-on person who does not mind attending events outside of work.

The Company

Our client is a leader in the education sector.

Events Manager Location

Our client is based in Oxford City Centre (OX1). There is no on-site parking at their office in Central Oxford, but very accessible via various transport links

Core working hours are 9am-5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch. Monday to Friday.

Please note that this is a six-month fixed term contract, which has the potential to extend or become permanent.
