Research Facilitation Officer Responsibilities
You will provide a professional, effective level of support, and be responsible for ensuring that applications in your portfolio are formulated in alignment with Departmental strategic objectives and policies and will have the maximum chance of success both at the application stage and during delivery.
The successful candidate will preferably demonstrate a good understanding of the research funding environment, research career pathways, and compliance related issues and be educated to at least undergraduate level.
Research Facilitation Officer Experience
Our client is looking to recruit a professional, confident and reliable individual with a good understanding of the academic research environment, career pathways, and funding landscape.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be essential to build professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders, as well as the ability to inspire the trust of colleagues when dealing with difficult and confidential matters, and to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and with a multi-cultural and diverse team.
A proactive self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, and excellent advisory skills, who can hit the ground running, and confidently challenge and offer improvements where required.
You will be able to demonstrate a pragmatic and diplomatic attitude and take responsibility for your own workload and actions. You will be hands-on, versatile, and polite with an honest and transparent nature and a respect for the company’s policies. This is a very process-driven environment. Experience of using Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.

Our client’s head office is based in Oxford City Centre (OX1). Due to this location, there is sadly no parking available onsite, but it is close to public transport links.
This role will offer some hybrid working depending on workload and business needs, though it is likely that the initial induction/training period will be on-site.
