Communications Officer

This is a newly created communications role, responsible for delivering a comprehensive and effective communication plan to engage audiences and prospective donors, to promote and increase development and fundraising activities.

Communications Officer Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Write and edit monthly newsletters, email templates, and event-related communications.
  • Review, develop plans for and update pages on the website and social media.
  • Source, write and edit lively news, updates and photos for a global network audience.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications activities and analyse the effectiveness.
  • Attend and support at regular events, occasionally outside of working hours (Time off in lieu will be given).

Communications Officer Essentials

  • An experienced communications or marketing professional within a similar role
  • Excellent copywriting and verbal communications skills to produce material for a range of audiences and purposes.
  • Highly motivated, with strong attention to detail and able to work well under pressure.
  • Creative and skilled across digital marketing platforms and content creation.
  • The ideal candidate will be bright with an inquiring mind.
  • A friendly and committed individual will fit will within this diverse and sociable team.

Location

Based in Oxford, with onsite parking available and excellent transport links.

This is an office-based role working 37.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish times), Monday to Friday.
