We have just registered an exciting opportunity within an academic environment for a detail orientated and friendly individual.
Our client is looking to hire a positive candidate who can get stuck into a variety of tasks. Primarily you will be responsible for general clerical, administrative, and financial support.
This permanent role requires the candidate to start at 8am.

Our client is looking to hire a positive candidate who can get stuck into a variety of tasks. Primarily you will be responsible for general clerical, administrative, and financial support.

This permanent role requires the candidate to start at 8am.

Receptionist Responsibilities

As the Receptionist some of your duties will include:

  • Assisting with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc.
  • Providing routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, completing routine forms
  • Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems
  • Assist with arrangements for visits to the school, e.g. school nurse, photographer
  • General admin duties as required including answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
  • Contribute to the success of the team by building strong relationships throughout the business, providing support across departments, staying up to date with health and safety protocols, contributing to projects and events as necessary.

Receptionist Experience

Ideally, you will have worked within a clerical/ administrative/ reception capacity. You will be educated to GCSE level or above or have relevant experience. Alongside this, the Receptionist should have:

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team, whilst taking initiative on tasks
  • An ability to work to deadlines
  • Interest in developing own personal skills
  • An ability to support students through the pastoral programme and extra-curricular activities
  • An ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Relevant knowledge of first aid
  • A sense of fun as well as the ability to work hard and calmly under pressure

The office is based in Oxford (OX2), there is onsite parking available and can be easily reached using public transport or bicycle.
