Office Manager

This exciting and varied role has arisen with our client, who specialise in the construction and renovation of high-quality residential homes. Although the job title is Office Manager, the role covers a broad range of exciting responsibilities. This is a Fixed-Term Contract until March 2023, with the possibility to go permanent.

Office Manager Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Procurement and assisting with the buying of site materials – including costing, price negotiation and relationship building
  • Supporting the accounts and marketing teams
  • Overseeing apprenticeship training needs
  • Office management including planning the office Christmas party, weekly payroll, and general administrative tasks
  • Responsible for checking and maintaining enquiries inbox and answering incoming telephone calls
  • Set up and oversee maintenance and servicing of all office equipment to include central heating boiler, fire alarms, intruder alarms, air conditioning, appliances in kitchen, PAT testing etc. and keep accurate records

Office Manager Essentials

The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience within an administrative or office management role. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to use your initiative to get tasks done accurately and quickly and will be strong team player.

You will be able to problem solve and work towards deadlines. You be a naturally confident person, who enjoys relationship building with colleagues and external stakeholders and be eager to get stuck in from the start.

Location

Ideally you will be able to drive and have your own car as the office is based in a rural location, south-west of Oxford. The working hours are based in the office 8am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.
