The team is small and friendly but integral to the running of our services county wide.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This full-time role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Wellbeing Worker Responsibilities

  • Diary management
  • Signposting service users
  • Record details, data collection and report outcomes of individual to relevant colleagues and external services
  • Delivering courses, contributing to design, development, promotion in response to need
  • Facilitate Peer Support by Developing, maintaining, and facilitating a broad range of appropriate and responsive wellbeing groups
  • Liaise with the Communications Team to ensure that all publicity material meets both local and national guidelines

Temporary Wellbeing Worker Requirements

Most importantly, as the Temporary Wellbeing Worker, you will have effective interpersonal skills, empathy, a solution-focused and reflective approach, a basic understanding of safeguarding and IT skills to accurately record information on the database to be considered. Alongside this, you will have:

  • Dedicated experience in a relevant setting
  • Experience of working with individuals enabling them to identify their own goals to support personal wellbeing and recovery
  • Experience of working in an often-demanding environment 
  • Experience of facilitating groups and enabling people to articulate and meet needs together
  • Positive attitude and understanding of mental health
  • Understanding and knowledge of how to safeguard vulnerable service users     
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational, planning, administrative and IT skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and use of databases

Desirable:

  • Qualification as Social Worker, Mental Health nurse or Occupational Therapist

You will be based in the Abingdon (OX14). There is parking available and public transport routes are nearby.
