Temporary Executive Assistant

Are you an experienced EA who is highly organised with great communication skills?

A unique opportunity has arisen to join an enriching and collaborative environment as a Temporary EA to a Senior Academic.

The main purpose of this role is to provide key support and work closely with the other to ensure the smooth running of the Executive Office.

This is a full-time temporary position, requiring an immediate start. This role will be for a period of 12 weeks initially whilst they recruit a permanent member of staff however should you be interested in the permanent position you will be given the opportunity to apply.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Executive Assistant Responsibilities

  • Complex diary management
  • Arranging national and international travel
  • Welcoming visitors and assisting them with queries
  • Dealing with correspondence, including interdepartmental liaison
  • Scheduling and organising meetings, drafting agendas, preparing and collating documents, taking minutes

Temporary Executive Assistant Requirements

  • Substantial experience of working as a PA at a senior level
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • High standard of written and spoken English with the ability to draft fairly detailed correspondence and documentation with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to judge priorities
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to observe confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise own discretion
  • Ability to work in a sometimes busy and pressured environment

Location

Our client is located in Oxford (OX1) with access to excellent public transport links and access to many local amenities.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, mostly office based.
