Proofreader and Administrator Responsibilities

Reporting to the supportive and knowledgeable Practice Manager, the Proofreader and Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that documents, reports and letters are accurately typed, amended and sent to vital partners, authorities and patients, provide efficient completion of administrative tasks, as well provide clear and concise communication to the practice's partners and patients to ensure the practice runs smoothly.

This is a newly created role due to expansion of the practices, and you will be an exciting addition to a busy Admin team that are passionate about providing patient outcomes for children and adults.

The Company

Our client operates in providing services to mental health services to patients.

Proofreader and Administrator Experience

This role would suit a kind, caring and friendly individual that can exercise empathy towards patients and act with the utmost integrity and confidentiality when processing sensitive information.

Demonstrable proofreading experience is an essential requirement to this role and you must be able to demonstrate that you have carried out proofreading tasks as part of your responsibilities within a previous role. You will be a confident administrator who can carry out high volume administrative tasks accurately within a fast-paced environment and busy team.

Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is a requirement for the role. Although previous experience gained in a similar role within a medical or NHS setting isn't an essential requirement for this role, it would be highly beneficial. As is experience of working with patient record and scheduling system Cliniko.

Location

Travel between 2 sites at OX3 and OX44 is required and you must therefore drive and have access to a car as there are limited transport links. There will be an opportunity to work 1 day from home once the initial onboarding and training period is complete after 1 – 2 months.

There aren't specific set days scheduled for you to be across specific sites, this will be discussed and planned by the Practice Manager once you are in role.

Parking is available across both sites.

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Working hours are 9am - 5:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

The probationary period for this role is 6 months.

Interviews will take place via TEAMs and will consist of a 30 minute multiple choice admin based skills test online via the platform Test Gorilla and a 30 minute competency based interview with the Practice Manager.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment vetting checks and must have the right to work in the UK.
