Allen Associates is delighted to sponsor the Ley Community’s annual Christmas festivities for the second time.
Around 45 people, including residents of the Ley Community’s drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, staff members and graduates of the peer-led recovery programme, will come together on Christmas day to celebrate.
They will be treated to a traditional sit-down Christmas dinner cooked by some of the residents and graduates on site at the Ley Community’s campus in Yarnton, near Oxford, followed by presents from Secret Santa and a variety of games and activities.
Huseyin Djemil, Chief Executive at the Ley Community, said: “We’d like to thank Allen Associates for their donation which will be put to very good use over the Christmas period. This can be a difficult time of year for residents and graduates of our drug and alcohol rehabilitation programme, many of whom don’t have families to lean on or spend time with. Most of our residents and many of our graduates like to spend the Christmas period at the Ley Community where they know they can enjoy themselves, safe from the temptation of drink or drugs and with support from staff and others going through similar challenges.”
Kate Allen, Managing Director of Allen Associates, added: “Being closely involved with the Ley Community over the last two years has been a life-affirming and inspirational experience. We are pleased to be able to help where we can and to continue supporting this local charity in their work to give people a fresh start and an opportunity to contribute to their communities again.”
