Results of the HR Hub Poll in September 2021

We asked the professionals who attended our Zoom HR Hub in September 2021 to answer four multiple choice questions as a segue into an Employment Law Update delivered by Royds Withy King. The results provided an insight into the challenges facing companies and not-for-profit organisations as they continue to deal with a return to the workplace, flexible working and redundancies.
The results of our HR poll carried out in September are set out below:
1. In terms of a return to the office…
- 15% - Already have people back full time
- 61% - Already have people on a hybrid basis
- 2% - Have plans for a full time return over the next few months
- 22% - Have plans for a hybrid return over the next few months
- 0 - Have no current plans to return to the workplace
2. Has your organisation seen an increase in flexible working requests since pandemic restrictions were lifted?
- 46% - Yes
- 0 - Have no current plans to return to the workplace
- 39% - No
- 15% - Don’t know
What are your organisation’s main concerns about facilitating employees returning to the workplace?
- 20% - Health and Safety
- 61% - Employees not wanting to or having difficulty returning to work
- 0 - Questions about vaccinations
- 4% - Dealing with flexible working requests
- 2% - Risk of grievances or claims
- 7% - Risk of future lockdowns
- 6% - Dealing with covid related absences
4. Are you planning redundancies or changes to terms and conditions in the near future?
- 7% - Yes
- 84% - No
- 9% - Don't know
