Celebrating 13 years as headline sponsor of the OX5 RUN

Allen Associates, News & Blog

Oxfordshire recruitment agency Allen Associates are celebrating their 13th anniversary as the official sponsors of the OX5 RUN in support of Oxford Children’s Hospital. With just weeks to go until the eagerly-anticipated charity event, our founding directors Kate and Rob Allen together with some of our recruitment consultants, are already in training to make sure they're in fine shape to complete the five-mile fun run taking place at Blenheim Palace on Sunday 20th March.

Our managing director Kate Allen said: “The OX5 RUN means so much to us and is a real highlight of our year. This special event brings together people from Oxfordshire and beyond, for an enjoyable and memorable day out whilst raising funds for Oxford Children's Hospital and the thousands of young patients and families that it treats and supports each year.”

The five-mile fun run has helped fund many transformative projects across the hospital including a 62 bedroomed parental accommodation, state of the art monitoring equipment and even a play specialist to help calm and distract children undergoing treatment.

Our finance director Rob Allen, commented: “The OX5 RUN is an event that our clients, candidates, recruitment consultants and contacts get involved with each year. Through our sponsorship, we feel that we are able to give back to the local community and help make a difference to our local hospital - as you never know when you or a loved one will need it."

Eleanor Jones, Head of Fundraising at Oxford Hospitals Charity added: “For the last 20 years the OX5 RUN has remained at the heart of the community and has made a difference to so many families across Oxfordshire and beyond. We’re thrilled that Allen Associates are joining us again for another special event. We’d like to encourage any local community groups, businesses, and families to lace up your trainers and run, jog or walk the dog on Sunday 20th March.”

Entry for the OX5 RUN is now open. It costs £27 per adult and £15 per child aged over 10 if they sign up as part of the ‘early bird special’ with prices rising to £35 per adult and £17.50 per child after the Monday 31st January.
