Are you clear what you stand for as an employer? The results of our HR Hub Poll in May 2022

One third of the employers, people managers and HR professionals who attended Allen Associates Zoom HR Hub in May 2022 said that "a lack of cut-through on recruitment" was keeping them awake at night. Guest speaker, John Tarrant of DNA, discussed the importance of establishing a coherent employee value proposition (EVP) and employer brand and how, when done well, these make a measurable difference to attraction and retention. Read the poll results below.

A group of 45 HR professionals, people managers and employers, mainly from Oxfordshire-based organisations, took part in a short poll at our Zoom HR Hub, as part of wider discussions on making the business case for developing a distinct, authentic and compelling employee value proposition (EVP) and employer brand.

The discussions were led by John Tarrant, Managing Partner at DNA, and supported by Adrian Henderson, an employment lawyer at RWK Goodman in Oxford.

The results are below:

  • 10% - No
  • 20% - Erm, maybe

Do you have a stated EVP or employer brand?

  • 27% - Yes
  • 73% - No

What keeps you awake at night?

  • 33% - Lack of cut-through on recruitment
  • 24% - Retention
  • 13% - Employee engagement
  • 20% - Something else
  • 10% - Nothing – wine is a wonderful thing

How is life as a senior HR practitioner at the moment?

  • 7% - Living the dream
  • 67% - It’s okay, I manage
  • 6% - It’s not okay, I barely manage
  • 20% - Thank God for the wine
