How ‘psychologically safe’ is your workplace? The results of our HR Hub poll in May 2023
HR professionals and employers from Oxfordshire-based businesses and other organisations attended Allen Associates HR Hub to learn more about building psychological safety at work to improve wellbeing and inspire greater levels of collaboration, innovation and engagement.
Our guest speaker was Rebecca Reed, a workplace mental health and wellbeing expert at Siendo. Rebecca asked the HR community about their organisation’s approach to psychological safety at work and the results make interesting reading.

2: Are the leaders within your organisation talking about 'psychological safety' and the issues around it?
- 23% - Yes, they're taking it seriously
- 33% - To a small extent, but it's not a priority
- 38% - No
- 6% - I don't know
3. What's your biggest concern around employee engagement at work?
- 21% - High levels of presenteeism / Low levels of productivity
- 14% - High levels of absenteeism
- 33% - High levels of turnover
- 12% - Lack of engagement in social activities
- 5% - Low levels of innovation and creativity
- 14% - All of the above
