Fundraising & Engagement Officer Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to grow regular giving and major donor channels, helping the charity to expand its impact and reach.
  • Engaging with the community through events, outreach, and digital campaigns to increase awareness and support.
  • Building relationships with supporters, donors, volunteers, and partners to foster ongoing commitment.
  • Supporting the delivery of fundraising activities, including campaigns, events, and online engagement, to meet or exceed targets.
  • Managing data and tracking campaign results to optimise future efforts and maximise conversions.
  • Assisting with social media and communications to enhance the charity's online profile and supporter engagement.
  • Providing exceptional supporter care, inspiring long-term loyalty and involvement.

Fundraising & Engagement Officer Experience Essentials

  • Previous experience in charity fundraising, community engagement, or a related role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with supporters and stakeholders.
  • Experience in organising campaigns, events, or outreach activities.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and data analysis to enhance engagement.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage budgets, and meet targets.
  • Empathy, emotional intelligence, and confidence in face-to-face interactions.
  • A proactive, results-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Location

This role enjoys excellent transport links and flexible working options. While some fieldwork outside the office is required, the position offers the opportunity for hybrid working and attendance at community events. There are no onsite parking facilities, but free parking is available nearby. You may be asked to work occasional evenings and weekends to support campaign delivery and events.
