New role for Catherine and promotion for Sophie

We are delighted to welcome a new recruitment consultant to our busy team – and announce another promotion!

Experienced recruiter Catherine Stokes (pictured above) has joined our busy temporary division where she will be working closely with colleagues, clients and candidates on temp roles at all levels spanning PA and Administration, Marketing, HR and Finance.

Catherine has a strong recruitment background, having worked for over a decade in a range of roles, including volume recruiting and in-house hires.

Commenting on her appointment, Catherine said: “I am excited to have joined Allen Associates and am already enjoying the varied nature of the work, the clients and candidates, and the camaraderie and support of the team. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work for such a successful and dynamic agency whose vision and values really align with how I like to recruit.”

Over in our permanent team, recruiter Sophie Kidd has been promoted to Lead Consultant – Finance, after just 18 months with us. Before joining Allen Associates, Sophie spent more than a decade working as a recruitment consultant in Oxfordshire and is well known to employers, HR professionals and jobseekers in Oxford and across the county.

Sophie said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to Lead Consultant for Finance roles, something which I have been working towards for some time. Having previously worked in an accounting firm in Australia, and then returning to the UK to work for a specialist finance recruitment agency, I have always had connections to the finance world and have naturally gravitated towards working on finance positions.

“I love helping finance candidates look for their next move, whether they be graduates or senior finance professionals. It’s an exciting time to be leading our financial recruitment and share my knowledge in this area to help our new and ongoing clients and candidates fulfil their requirements.

“This is my second promotion at Allen Associates since joining in January 2022; it’s so nice to be recognised for the hard work I have put in, and I look forward to working towards the next milestone, whatever that might be!”

Sophie’s promotion follows that of Joanne Scholes, who was promoted to Lead Consultant – HR, earlier in the year.
