Temporary Part-time Finance Assistant Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Processing sales ledger activities, including raising invoices and debt chasing using Sage 50 to support cash flow and financial health.
  • Managing purchase ledger tasks, including processing supplier invoices via the ExpenseIn platform, ensuring prompt and accurate supplier payments.
  • Uploading and verifying reports in Sage 50 to ensure precise financial tracking and compliance.
  • Payment runs and performing bank reconciliations to keep accounts balanced and transparent.

Temporary Part-time Finance Assistant Experience Essentials

  • Previous experience in finance, accounts, or bookkeeping, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage 50.
  • Familiarity with invoice approval platforms like ExpenseIn.
  • Proficiency in chasing overdue debts via email or telephone in a professional manner.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
