Supporting Our Local Communities

Our mission is to raise recruitment standards and give back to our local communities by supporting charities and good causes that strike a chord with us.

Giving back

How we support the local community

We have enjoyed more than two decades of business success thanks to our great team of Recruitment Consultants, talented Candidates and brilliant Clients. Our mission is to raise the bar in terms of recruitment standards and practices as well as to give back to our communities, financially and in kind through volunteering. We are delighted to support local charities and good causes, having established particularly strong links with Oxford Children’s Hospital, The Ley Community, Reciprocate and Aspire Oxford.

Oxford Children’s Hospital

Oxford Children’s Hospital

Since 2009, Allen Associates has sponsored and taken part in the OX5 RUN - an annual event that sees thousands of runners, joggers and walkers made up of individuals, family groups and business teams tackling a scenic five mile course through the grounds of Blenheim Palace to raise money for medical equipment, specialist nurses and toys - to name a few.

There are various trophies up for grabs, including the Allen Associates Corporate Cup which is presented each year to the fastest business team over the line.

Making a difference

The Ley Community

The Ley Community drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre is one of Allen Associates’ chosen charities. Since being involved with the centre and its work, we have seen at first hand the dramatic impact that meaningful employment can have on an individual’s recovery and the businesses that employ them.

Allen Associates is an active member of responsible business group Reciprocate, run by Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF). This sees our Team participating in a number of charitable and community activities throughout the year, such as promoting work opportunities for young or vulnerable people, raising funds or sharing time and skills with local charities.

Aspire Oxford

Aspire is a community enterprise initiative that creates opportunities for those facing barriers to meaningful employment. Their work has transformed the lives of over 1,000 people throughout Oxfordshire, and we partnered with them – along with Reciprocate – to create the Open Recruitment Handbook on open and inclusive recruitment practices.

Why do we do it?

Supporting our local community is both a privilege and a pleasure. It gives us the opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives and in doing so, business becomes a force for good.
